Jesus
said, "Without me you can do nothing." Yet many believers are trying to
live the Christian life from the illusion of self-sufficiency, not realizing that they
were never created with the ability to live the Christian life. They are frustrated trying
to re-dedicate, revive and commit what they don't have--the power to please God!
On over eight
occasions Jesus clearly stated in the gospel of John, "The Son is able to do nothing
of himself, of his own will, on his own accord; but only that which the Father tells
me." Based on these premises we become the facilitators of a more precious truth, as
the Holy Spirit moves to become the "therapist" in the life of the believer.
- Paul pronounced the Union Life message when he spoke in his Epistle to the
Galatians 2:20
- "I have been crucified with
Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in
the body I live by faith in the Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
